Cookie Policy
What cookies are
Cookies are small data files placed on your computer or other device (such as a smartphone or tablet) as you browse a website. They are widely used to make websites work, to remember your preferences, and to give site owners information about how their site is being used.
Our approach
We keep cookies to a minimum. We do not use advertising cookies, and we do not run advertising or remarketing pixels on this website. We do not sell or share browsing data with advertising networks.
We use one privacy-preserving analytics tool, Cloudflare Web Analytics, to count page views and see which pages people find useful. It sets no cookies, does not store anything on your device, does not fingerprint your browser, and cannot be used to identify or track you across other websites. Because it stores nothing on your device, it runs for every visitor and is not affected by your choice on the cookie banner. You can read Cloudflare’s description of it at cloudflare.com/web-analytics.
When you first visit the site you are shown a banner allowing you to accept all cookies or reject non-essential ones. Your choice is stored so we do not have to ask again on every page. You can change your mind at any time using the method described under “How to control cookies” below.
The cookies we use
Strictly necessary cookies
These are required for the website to function and cannot be switched off in our systems. They are set only in response to actions you take, such as submitting an enquiry form or setting your cookie preferences.
- cwaf_cookie — records your cookie consent choice so the banner is not shown again. Set by us. Expires after 12 months.
- WordPress session and security cookies — set by the software that runs this website, to keep the site secure and working correctly. These are generally session-length and are removed when you close your browser.
Functional and security cookies from third parties
- Google reCAPTCHA — used on our enquiry form to tell real enquiries apart from automated spam submissions. This is a security measure. Google may set cookies and collect device and usage information for this purpose. See Google’s Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
Cookies we do not use
We do not run Google Analytics, Meta or Facebook pixels, LinkedIn Insight, Hotjar, or any advertising or remarketing tags on this website. The only analytics we use is the cookieless Cloudflare Web Analytics described above, which sets no cookies at all. If that changes, we will update this notice and the cookie banner before any such cookies are set.
Links to other websites
Our website contains links to lender websites, our social media profiles, and other third-party sites. If you follow a link to another website, that site will have its own cookie and privacy policies which we do not control. We encourage you to read them.
How to control cookies
You can accept or reject non-essential cookies using the banner shown when you first visit. You can also control cookies through your browser settings — most browsers let you see what cookies are stored, delete them individually or entirely, and block them from being set. Please note that blocking strictly necessary cookies may stop parts of this website working properly, including our enquiry form.
General independent guidance on managing cookies is published by the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk/for-the-public/online/cookies.
