Whole-of-market — 60+ lenders searched, including
IT equipment finance spreads the cost of technology across the years you actually use it, which matters because most IT is obsolete long before it is worn out. We arrange computer finance, software finance and full systems funding through a panel of 60+ UK lenders, so a refresh does not have to wait for the budget year. Computer equipment finance for desktops, laptops and servers is included.
What you can fund
Every asset has its own page: how lenders treat it, what buyers specify, the questions people ask, and what we have actually funded.

Why technology is funded differently
IT is a soft asset. It has little resale value, so lenders are underwriting your business rather than the kit. That means terms are usually shorter than for machinery, and the strength of your trading position matters more. It also means not every lender will touch it — which is precisely where a whole-of-market broker earns its place.
Computer finance and hardware refresh
Computer finance covers laptops, desktops, servers and networking. Funding a refresh rather than buying outright keeps the cost aligned with the replacement cycle, so you are not carrying five-year-old hardware because the capital went elsewhere.
Software finance
Software finance is the least understood of the soft assets and often the largest line item. Licences, implementation and migration can all be funded, spreading a project cost across the years the system delivers rather than the quarter you sign.
EPOS finance and retail systems
EPOS finance funds tills, terminals, integration and installation for retail and hospitality. It is usually part of a wider fit-out, and it is generally cheaper to fund the whole package together than to piece it out.
What lenders assess on soft assets
Because IT has little resale value, the lender is underwriting your business rather than the equipment. That means filed accounts, current trading and existing commitments carry more weight here than on any asset class we fund. Terms are shorter and the bar is higher — but for an established business it is entirely routine.
Funding a project, not just hardware
The hardware is often the smaller half of an IT project. Licences, configuration, data migration, training and professional fees can exceed the cost of the servers. Most lenders will fund the whole project cost rather than just the tangible items, which matters because a part-funded rollout usually stalls.
Subscription and SaaS costs
Increasingly software is bought as an annual subscription rather than a licence. Some lenders will fund a multi-year subscription commitment, spreading what would otherwise be an annual lump sum. Worth asking about if a renewal is distorting your cash flow every year.
Refresh cycles and end of term
Match the term to the refresh cycle. Funding laptops over five years when you replace them every three leaves you paying for equipment you have already retired. A three-year agreement on a three-year cycle keeps the two aligned, and a lease lets you hand the old kit back rather than dispose of it yourself.
CCTV and security systems
CCTV finance covers cameras, recorders, access control and installation across single sites or multiple premises. Because these are typically fixed installations, terms can run longer than for portable IT.
What to send us
Send us the full project cost — hardware, licences, configuration and training, not just the kit — and your intended refresh cycle. We will tell you what term is realistic and which lenders will fund the whole project rather than part of it. No credit check to enquire.

Estimate your repayments
Asset finance is quoted on a flat rate, so that is what the buttons show, with the equivalent APR beside it. Your exact rate depends on the asset, the term, the deposit and the lender.
Prime is an established, profitable business with clean credit. Specialist covers newer businesses and credit that needs explaining — the asset itself carries part of the risk, which is why finance is often available where an unsecured loan is not.
Representative example: on Hire Purchase, borrowing £25,000 over 48 months at a 5.15% flat rate (equivalent to 9.9% APR representative), you would repay around £628 a month; total amount repayable approximately £30,150, of which £5,150 is the cost of finance. This calculator is for illustration only — it is not a quote or an offer of finance, and the rate and repayments you are offered will depend on the asset, term, deposit and your circumstances. CW Asset Finance is a credit broker, not a lender, and will receive a commission from the lender that funds your agreement. All finance is subject to status, affordability and lender approval.
Rates shown are indicative flat rates with the equivalent APR alongside — the two are not the same number. Indicative only and does not constitute a quote or an offer of finance. Subject to status and lender approval.
