The Growth Guarantee Scheme is administered by the British Business Bank on behalf of the UK Government. The British Business Bank accredits the lenders permitted to offer scheme facilities; it does not lend to businesses directly and does not decide individual applications.
Your application is made to, and assessed by, an accredited lender. That lender sets its own eligibility criteria, pricing and security requirements within the scheme’s rules, and makes the credit decision.
Accreditation is held by lenders, not by brokers. As an independent credit broker we can tell you which lenders on our panel are accredited and active, and present your case to them, but we cannot approve or offer a scheme facility ourselves. Remember too that the guarantee is given to the lender: you remain fully liable for the debt.
For scheme rules, current status and the list of accredited lenders, the British Business Bank is the authoritative source. If anything you read elsewhere conflicts with it, rely on the British Business Bank.
