Most asset finance is arranged in a matter of days rather than weeks. An indicative decision often comes back within 24 hours of us having your details, and straightforward cases can move from enquiry to funds released to the supplier inside the same week. More complex deals take longer. No timescale can be guaranteed, because it depends on the lender and on your circumstances.
What tends to speed things up is having the basics ready: a supplier invoice or proforma, up-to-date figures for the business, and clear identification for the directors or partners. What tends to slow things down is a specialist or non-standard asset, a business with limited trading history, an asset being bought privately rather than from a dealer, or documents that arrive piecemeal.
We are an independent credit broker, not a lender, so we can approach the funders on our panel of 60-plus whose criteria fit your case first, rather than waiting on one bank’s queue. That often shortens the process, but the final decision and the final timing always sit with the lender.
If you are working to a deadline — an auction, a delivery slot, a job start date — tell us at the outset so we can be realistic with you about whether it is achievable.
