A broker gives you access to funding across a whole lender panel rather than a single funder, and takes the work of arranging finance off your sales team. CW Asset Finance is an independent credit broker with a panel of more than 60 lenders, and is not a lender itself.
What that means day to day:
- Panel breadth. Lenders differ on asset type, age, term and customer profile. One enquiry can be put to funders whose criteria fit rather than being tied to whoever your team happens to know.
- Asset knowledge. CWAF was founded by Conor Hull, who has spent 18 years in the motor trade and asset finance, so the machine is understood, not just the credit file.
- Structuring. Deposits, balloons, seasonal payment profiles and part exchange all affect whether a deal works for the buyer.
- One point of contact. You are not chasing several funders yourself.
CWAF is a member of the NACFB and an Appointed Representative of Rural Finance Limited (FRN 630701). None of this is a promise of approval or of a particular rate — those decisions sit with the lender. CWAF does not charge the customer a broker fee; it is paid commission by the lender on completion.
Using a broker does not change how your own activity is treated. If your customers are limited companies buying for business use, the agreements sit outside the consumer credit regime. Where they are individuals, sole traders or partnerships, how far you go in helping arrange the finance matters. This is general information, not legal or compliance advice, and your position depends on your customer mix.
