Warewash is the part of the kitchen nobody photographs and everybody depends on, and a failed machine closes a restaurant faster than a broken oven.

Yes. Commercial dishwashers, from undercounter machines to pass-through hoods and rack conveyors, are funded as equipment on hire purchase or lease. Used machines from trade dealers are fundable. The point that catches people out is the chemical contract. Suppliers frequently bundle the machine with a multi-year detergent and rinse aid agreement, sometimes at a nominal machine price, and the funder can only fund the machine itself, not the chemical commitment. Look at what the chemicals cost across the whole term before deciding that the cheap machine was cheap.
Used kit: Yes — reconditioned pass-through and undercounter machines are routinely funded when a dealer has replaced the wash and rinse components and can warrant the machine.

Business asset finance is quoted on a flat rate, so that is what this shows — with the equivalent APR underneath, because the two are not the same number. A quick guide only; your actual rate depends on the asset, term, deposit and lender.
Representative example: on Hire Purchase, borrowing £25,000 over 48 months at a 6.0% flat rate (equivalent to 11.5% APR representative), you would repay around £646 a month; total amount repayable approximately £31,000, of which £6,000 is the cost of finance. This calculator is for illustration only — it is not a quote or an offer of finance, and the rate and repayments you are offered will depend on the asset, term, deposit and your circumstances. CW Asset Finance is a credit broker, not a lender, and may receive a commission from the lender that funds your agreement. All finance is subject to status, affordability and lender approval. CW Asset Finance is an Appointed Representative of Rural Finance Limited, which is authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FRN 630701).
Warewash machines are among the more fundable items in a kitchen. Winterhalter, Hobart and Meiko are strong names, machines are serial numbered, and refurbished units sell readily through dealers, so the security is genuine. The soft element is water treatment and installation: softeners and reverse osmosis units supplied with the machine usually sit on the invoice, but plumbing, drainage, tabling and extraction hoods for a pass-through are installation work with no recovery value. Hospitality is underwritten with its usual caution, so accounts, time trading and bank conduct drive the decision, and new-start sites need a guarantee. Where a supplier is offering a machine at an artificially low price against a chemical tie, funders will only advance against the true invoice value.
Examples of the machines we are asked to fund. This is not an exhaustive list — if what you are buying is not here, it does not mean we cannot fund it. Your supplier quote is what the agreement is written against.

Restaurants and hotels replacing a machine that has begun leaking or failing to sanitise, pub kitchens moving from a domestic-grade unit that was never going to cope, and contract caterers and schools fitting out a new kitchen. The trigger is usually breakdown, because warewash runs until it dies. Larger sites buy rack conveyors when the pot wash area becomes the bottleneck that holds up every service.

Bought on hire purchase, business plant and machinery normally qualifies for capital allowances on the full cost even though you pay for it monthly, which is a large part of why hire purchase is the common structure. On a finance lease you generally set the rentals against profit instead. The rules change between budgets and your position depends on how you trade, so treat this as the direction of travel and get your accountant to confirm the detail before you commit.
No. Chemicals are consumables bought month by month, and asset finance funds assets, not supply agreements. That matters because some suppliers discount the machine heavily in exchange for a long chemical tie. Work out the total across the whole period before you accept, and compare it with buying the machine on finance and shopping for chemicals freely.
Easier, if anything. Pass-through and hood machines cost more, so the facility clears the funder’s minimum comfortably, and brands like Winterhalter and Meiko carry real used value. Undercounter machines are sometimes too small to fund alone and are better placed on a schedule with the rest of your kitchen order.
Sometimes as a soft cost within a larger package. Inlet and outlet tabling and bespoke stainless are fabricated to your room and worth little once removed, so a funder with a narrow appetite will fund only the machine. Where the rest of the invoice is strong and your accounts are sound, the tabling usually goes through with it.
In a hard water area, yes, and it is cheaper than replacing elements and boilers ruined by scale. Where the softener or reverse osmosis unit is supplied with the machine on the same invoice it normally sits on the agreement. Plumbing it in is labour and is typically outside the finance.
Yes, and large conveyor machines are good assets to fund because the value is substantial and the brands are well recognised. The practical issues are access and installation: getting the machine into a basement kitchen and connecting extraction and drainage can be expensive, and that installation work usually sits outside the equipment agreement.
