Diagnostic and standard wheel balancers funded for tyre bays, fast-fit sites and garages chasing vibration complaints out of the workshop.

Yes, usually as part of a package rather than on its own. A wheel balancer is a hard asset with a clear serial number and an active dealer market, and funders are comfortable with it. The practical issue is value: a standard balancer often falls below the minimum a funder will write as a standalone agreement, so it is typically funded with a tyre changer and the rest of the bay. High-end diagnostic balancers carry enough value to stand alone. Used machines are fundable.
Used kit: Yes — used balancers fund comfortably as part of a package, with machines eight to ten years old accepted where calibration is current.

Business asset finance is quoted on a flat rate, so that is what this shows — with the equivalent APR underneath, because the two are not the same number. A quick guide only; your actual rate depends on the asset, term, deposit and lender.
Representative example: on Hire Purchase, borrowing £25,000 over 48 months at a 6.0% flat rate (equivalent to 11.5% APR representative), you would repay around £646 a month; total amount repayable approximately £31,000, of which £6,000 is the cost of finance. This calculator is for illustration only — it is not a quote or an offer of finance, and the rate and repayments you are offered will depend on the asset, term, deposit and your circumstances. CW Asset Finance is a credit broker, not a lender, and may receive a commission from the lender that funds your agreement. All finance is subject to status, affordability and lender approval. CW Asset Finance is an Appointed Representative of Rural Finance Limited, which is authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FRN 630701).
Balancers are simple, honest security: free-standing, plugged in, serialised, and moved on readily through garage equipment dealers. Nothing about them becomes a fixture, so tenancy is a non-issue and no landlord waiver arises, which is a welcome change from lifts. Cones, adaptors, clamping kits and weights are tooling and consumables, outside the agreement. Software updates for diagnostic balancers are a soft cost and any subscription element cannot be funded. The only real barrier is deal size, which is why balancers are almost always written with a changer or a wider fit-out. Declines relate to the buyer and their trading history rather than to the asset itself.
Examples of the machines we are asked to fund. This is not an exhaustive list — if what you are buying is not here, it does not mean we cannot fund it. Your supplier quote is what the agreement is written against.

Typically a garage or tyre bay whose balancer is struggling with larger diameter alloys and low profile tyres, with vibration comebacks eating technician time. Also new fast-fit sites fitting out a bay from scratch, and independents adding road force measurement so they can diagnose tyre and wheel problems rather than keep rebalancing the same car.

Bought on hire purchase, business plant and machinery normally qualifies for capital allowances on the full cost even though you pay for it monthly, which is a large part of why hire purchase is the common structure. On a finance lease you generally set the rentals against profit instead. The rules change between budgets and your position depends on how you trade, so treat this as the direction of travel and get your accountant to confirm the detail before you commit.
Only if it is a high-end diagnostic machine carrying enough value. A standard balancer usually sits below the minimum agreement size a funder will open. Pair it with a tyre changer or the rest of the bay equipment and the deal works without difficulty.
Typically only what the supplier bundles into the machine price. Cones, flange plates and clamping kits are tooling with limited resale value, and replacement sets bought later would not be funded. Wheel weights are a consumable and never form part of an agreement.
No. It stands on the floor and plugs in, so it never becomes part of the building and the fixtures question does not arise. That makes balancers one of the most straightforward pieces of garage equipment to fund if you rent your premises.
Commercially that is your call, but funders view the higher value machines favourably because they are in demand second-hand. The practical argument is that diagnosing a wheel and tyre match properly saves repeat visits, which is the cost most garages underestimate.
Usually it is cleaner to write a new one, though some funders will add an asset to an existing facility. If you are already part way through an agreement with a lender, tell us who it is, because keeping everything in one place can simplify the paperwork.
