Yes, with a note of caution about which machine you buy. DTF printers fund as hard assets on hire purchase, and a system from an established manufacturer with UK service support is straightforward to place. Where funders get uncomfortable is the flood of low-cost direct imports with no support network and almost no resale value. Used DTF is fundable but the technology is young, so values are still finding their level. Film, powder and ink are consumables and never form part of the agreement.
Used kit: Rarely straightforward — used DTF is fundable from a recognised brand with a dealer behind it, but only a few years old, as second-hand values are still unsettled.

Business asset finance is quoted on a flat rate, so that is what this shows — with the equivalent APR underneath, because the two are not the same number. A quick guide only; your actual rate depends on the asset, term, deposit and lender.
Representative example: on Hire Purchase, borrowing £25,000 over 48 months at a 6.0% flat rate (equivalent to 11.5% APR representative), you would repay around £646 a month; total amount repayable approximately £31,000, of which £6,000 is the cost of finance. This calculator is for illustration only — it is not a quote or an offer of finance, and the rate and repayments you are offered will depend on the asset, term, deposit and your circumstances. CW Asset Finance is a credit broker, not a lender, and may receive a commission from the lender that funds your agreement. All finance is subject to status, affordability and lender approval. CW Asset Finance is an Appointed Representative of Rural Finance Limited, which is authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FRN 630701).
Underwriters split DTF sharply by origin. A printer with a manufacturer name, a UK dealer and available parts is treated as ordinary print equipment with an identifiable resale path. An unbranded import bought online has no recovery market at all and will often simply be declined, whatever the buyer looks like. The shaker and curing oven are separate assets and can go on the same agreement, though an oven vented into the building starts to look installed. Ink, film, powder and print heads are consumables. RIP software is a soft cost. Because DTF has only recently matured, funders keep terms tighter than they would on screen printing equipment, so that the agreement does not outlast the resale value.
Examples of the machines we are asked to fund. This is not an exhaustive list — if what you are buying is not here, it does not mean we cannot fund it. Your supplier quote is what the agreement is written against.

Often a garment decorator drowning in short-run, full-colour jobs that are uneconomic on screens and painful in cut vinyl, typically small teamwear runs and one-off personalisation. Also print shops adding transfers as a product line for local clubs and businesses, and screen printers who want a way to say yes to a twelve-piece order without setting up four screens.

Bought on hire purchase, business plant and machinery normally qualifies for capital allowances on the full cost even though you pay for it monthly, which is a large part of why hire purchase is the common structure. On a finance lease you generally set the rentals against profit instead. The rules change between budgets and your position depends on how you trade, so treat this as the direction of travel and get your accountant to confirm the detail before you commit.
Because a funder has to be able to sell it if things go wrong. An unbranded machine with no UK parts supply, no dealer and no service history has effectively no recovery value, which removes the security the whole agreement relies on. Brand and support matter more here than almost anywhere in print.
Yes. A powder shaker and curing unit are recognisable machines with their own values, so they are funded alongside the printer on one agreement. If the oven needs ducting or a dedicated supply, that installation work sits outside the finance as a building cost.
None. Both are consumed in production, so neither can be taken as security. The same applies to ink, whatever size the opening order is. Consumables come out of working capital and the finance covers the hardware only.
Not any more, but they are selective. Established manufacturers entering the market has made a real difference to how these machines are viewed. Expect a shorter term than you would get on a screen press, which reflects how quickly the technology is still moving.
Yes. Businesses commonly run more than one asset agreement at a time and it is normal in decoration. An underwriter will look at total commitments against your trading figures to check affordability, so have your existing agreement details ready when we submit.
