Whether it is a rotating wood-fired dome or a stacked electric deck, the oven is the whole proposition, and it should be funded like the revenue engine it is.

Yes, with one distinction worth understanding. A freestanding gas or electric pizza oven is a straightforward hard asset and funds easily on hire purchase. A built-in wood-fired dome is different: once the brickwork is laid and the flue is through the roof, it is a fixture of the building and cannot be recovered, so funders treat it as a soft asset and lend on the strength of the business instead. Used ovens are fundable. Get the flue and the structural support quoted separately, because those are building works and rarely belong on the equipment agreement.
Used kit: Yes for freestanding gas and electric ovens, commonly up to around eight years old from a dealer. Rarely for second-hand wood-fired domes, because dismantling one usually destroys it.

Business asset finance is quoted on a flat rate, so that is what this shows — with the equivalent APR underneath, because the two are not the same number. A quick guide only; your actual rate depends on the asset, term, deposit and lender.
Representative example: on Hire Purchase, borrowing £25,000 over 48 months at a 6.0% flat rate (equivalent to 11.5% APR representative), you would repay around £646 a month; total amount repayable approximately £31,000, of which £6,000 is the cost of finance. This calculator is for illustration only — it is not a quote or an offer of finance, and the rate and repayments you are offered will depend on the asset, term, deposit and your circumstances. CW Asset Finance is a credit broker, not a lender, and may receive a commission from the lender that funds your agreement. All finance is subject to status, affordability and lender approval. Underwriters split pizza ovens into recoverable and non-recoverable. A Moretti Forni or Zanolli deck on castors has a genuine trade value and can be collected, so it supports the lend. A hand-built Valoriani installed into a stone surround has effectively zero recovery value the moment it is commissioned, so the funder is really writing an unsecured exposure dressed as equipment finance and will price and underwrite accordingly. Hospitality is already a cautious sector for most funders, and a new-start pizzeria with no accounts is one of the harder cases in the whole market. Directors with a previous site, a decent home equity position or a personal guarantee move these deals forward more than the oven specification ever will.

Independent pizzerias fitting out a first or second site, pubs adding a pizza offer to fill a quiet midweek trade, and established restaurants moving from a domestic-grade oven that cannot cope with a Friday. There is a second group entirely: trailer and van operators putting a rotating gas dome into a mobile unit for markets and events. The trigger is usually capacity, because a single-deck oven caps covers per hour and everyone hits that ceiling eventually.

Bought on hire purchase, business plant and machinery normally qualifies for capital allowances on the full cost even though you pay for it monthly, which is a large part of why hire purchase is the common structure. On a finance lease you generally set the rentals against profit instead. The rules change between budgets and your position depends on how you trade, so treat this as the direction of travel and get your accountant to confirm the detail before you commit.
Often yes, but not as a recoverable asset. Once the dome is rendered in and flued, no funder is coming to collect it, so the application is judged almost entirely on your trading figures and your covenant. Expect more questions about the accounts, and expect a personal guarantee to be part of the answer if the business is young.
Usually not. Flue installation is structural work carried out on the building, and it belongs to the landlord the day it is finished. Most funders will fund the oven and leave the flue to you, though some will stretch to a proportion of soft costs where the rest of the invoice is strong. Get it quoted as a separate line.
Possibly, but be realistic about what is being asked. With no filed accounts the funder is backing you personally, so previous experience running a kitchen, a signed lease, a business plan with sensible cover numbers and a director guarantee all matter. Some operators fund the oven against an existing business and move it across later.
Yes, and it is a common request. The funding usually follows the trailer, with the oven and the gas installation listed on the same invoice, because a complete road-legal mobile unit is far easier to value and recover than a dome sitting loose. Make sure the conversion is done by a firm that can supply a gas safety certificate.
Slightly, and usually in your favour. Conveyor ovens like the Zanolli or a Middleby carry higher values, are bought by chains as well as independents, and move readily on the used market, so funders are comfortable with them. Deck ovens are fine too, but a very cheap single deck may fall under the minimum facility a lender will write.
