Insulating glass lines funded for sealed unit manufacturers, from washer and assembly through press and sealing robot, on one agreement.
Whole-of-market — 60+ lenders searched, including
Yes, and it is normally funded as a complete line rather than machine by machine. Washer, inspection station, assembly press, gas filling and sealing robot go on one agreement with the line as security. Used lines are fundable and often represent good value. The element people underestimate is installation. These lines are long, they need levelling and alignment, a serviced water supply for the washer, extraction for the sealant and often three phase upgrades, and all of that is a building cost outside the finance.
Used kit: Yes — used IG lines fund well and installations ten to fifteen years old are considered, with press condition and sealing robot support the key questions.

Business asset finance is quoted on a flat rate, so that is what this shows — with the equivalent APR underneath, because the two are not the same number. A quick guide only; your actual rate depends on the asset, term, deposit and lender.
Representative example: on Hire Purchase, borrowing £25,000 over 48 months at a 6.0% flat rate (equivalent to 11.5% APR representative), you would repay around £646 a month; total amount repayable approximately £31,000, of which £6,000 is the cost of finance. This calculator is for illustration only — it is not a quote or an offer of finance, and the rate and repayments you are offered will depend on the asset, term, deposit and your circumstances. CW Asset Finance is a credit broker, not a lender, and may receive a commission from the lender that funds your agreement. All finance is subject to status, affordability and lender approval. CW Asset Finance is an Appointed Representative of Rural Finance Limited, which is authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FRN 630701).
Funders see an IG line as a set of hard assets that only make sense together, which is why it is usually written as one schedule. The manufacturers in this field are well known and used lines move through dealers and export, so recovery value is real if narrow. Spacer bar, desiccant, sealant, butyl and argon are consumables and never funded. Software and recipe systems are soft. Because the line is aligned, levelled and often anchored, with plumbed water and ducted extraction, it reads as installed plant, so a landlord waiver is likely on a leased site. Declines tend to involve fabricators with no glass processing experience taking on a whole line in one step.
Examples of the machines we are asked to fund. This is not an exhaustive list — if what you are buying is not here, it does not mean we cannot fund it. Your supplier quote is what the agreement is written against.

Usually a window fabricator who has been buying sealed units in and wants control of lead times and quality, particularly on shaped and specification glass. Also existing IGU makers upgrading from a manual press to an automatic line with warm edge spacer capability, and processors adding a second line to take on trade supply to other fabricators.

Bought on hire purchase, business plant and machinery normally qualifies for capital allowances on the full cost even though you pay for it monthly, which is a large part of why hire purchase is the common structure. On a finance lease you generally set the rentals against profit instead. The rules change between budgets and your position depends on how you trade, so treat this as the direction of travel and get your accountant to confirm the detail before you commit.
Normally as one. Washer, press, gas fill and sealing robot are written on a single schedule because they only have value as a working line. That also gives you one agreement and one payment rather than a set of separate commitments to track.
No. Spacer, desiccant, butyl, secondary sealant and argon are all consumed in production. They cannot be recovered or resold, so they have no place on an asset agreement. Those costs belong with your raw materials budget.
More than most people allow for. Levelling and aligning a long line, feeding the washer with treated water, extracting sealant fumes and upgrading the power supply all take time and money, and none of it is fundable as machinery. Get an installation quote alongside the machine quote.
It is possible but it needs supporting. Underwriters will want to see the volume you currently buy in, evidence you can recruit or train operators, and realistic figures. Showing the purchase replaces a known external spend rather than chasing new markets makes a much stronger case.
Quite likely. An aligned, anchored line with plumbed and ducted services can be argued to have become part of the building, so a funder may want written confirmation from your landlord that the equipment remains theirs. Raise it when you agree the installation dates.
