Straight line and CNC edge polishing machines funded for worktop producers who need consistent, repeatable edges without hand finishing.

Yes. Edge polishers fund as hard assets on hire purchase and they are dependable security: heavy bed, conveyor and a line of spindles, with a used market through UK and Italian stone machinery dealers. Second-hand machines are funded regularly. The thing to plan for is not funding but siting. These machines are long, they need a level base, a water feed and drainage, and the polishing wheels are consumables that carry a real ongoing cost which never forms part of the finance agreement.
Used kit: Yes — used edge polishers fund comfortably and machines of ten to fifteen years old are regularly funded where spindles and the conveyor are sound.

Business asset finance is quoted on a flat rate, so that is what this shows — with the equivalent APR underneath, because the two are not the same number. A quick guide only; your actual rate depends on the asset, term, deposit and lender.
Representative example: on Hire Purchase, borrowing £25,000 over 48 months at a 6.0% flat rate (equivalent to 11.5% APR representative), you would repay around £646 a month; total amount repayable approximately £31,000, of which £6,000 is the cost of finance. This calculator is for illustration only — it is not a quote or an offer of finance, and the rate and repayments you are offered will depend on the asset, term, deposit and your circumstances. CW Asset Finance is a credit broker, not a lender, and may receive a commission from the lender that funds your agreement. All finance is subject to status, affordability and lender approval. CW Asset Finance is an Appointed Representative of Rural Finance Limited, which is authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FRN 630701).
Underwriters treat these as reliable mid-value hard assets. The mechanics are robust, the manufacturers are long established, and used stock moves through dealers at predictable prices, so recovery value is easy to estimate. Polishing wheels, abrasives and belts are consumables and never funded. Water supply, slurry drainage and the base slab are installation works, excluded from the agreement and usually the thing that delays the project rather than the credit decision. A long machine plumbed and fixed in a rented unit can raise the fixture question, so a landlord waiver may be asked for. Straight declines are uncommon; where they happen it is a very short trading history rather than the asset.
Examples of the machines we are asked to fund. This is not an exhaustive list — if what you are buying is not here, it does not mean we cannot fund it. Your supplier quote is what the agreement is written against.

Most often a worktop fabricator whose polishers are working by hand and producing edges that vary between operators, with remakes and customer complaints following. Also firms whose volume has risen to the point where hand polishing cannot keep pace with the saw, and fabricators adding mitred edge capability for the thicker worktop look clients keep asking for.

Bought on hire purchase, business plant and machinery normally qualifies for capital allowances on the full cost even though you pay for it monthly, which is a large part of why hire purchase is the common structure. On a finance lease you generally set the rentals against profit instead. The rules change between budgets and your position depends on how you trade, so treat this as the direction of travel and get your accountant to confirm the detail before you commit.
No. They are consumed in normal production and have no residual value, so there is nothing for a funder to secure. Wheel cost is a real part of running an edge polisher and it belongs in your job costing, not on the finance agreement.
These machines generally do, and it is worth confirming your supply before ordering. A supply upgrade is a building cost outside the agreement and it can take weeks to arrange through the network operator, which is a far more common cause of delay than the finance itself.
Yes. These machines usually carry enough value to justify a standalone agreement, unlike some smaller workshop equipment. If you are buying other stone machinery at the same time, putting it all on one quotation still tends to give the tidier structure.
It is fundable but the timing is tight and the machine is sold as seen. A funder will want to know it can be inspected, removed safely and re-commissioned. Speak to us before the sale so approval is in place rather than chasing it afterwards.
If it is quoted with the machine, yes. Mitre heads and additional spindle stations are part of the asset when supplied together. Adding one later is possible but normally means a separate schedule, so specify what you need at the outset.
