Most funeral directors start by looking for a hearse for sale, not for hearse finance — and then discover that funding a coachbuilt ceremonial vehicle is not the same as funding a van. We do both: helping you find the right vehicle through the trade, and arranging the funding through lenders who understand what a hearse is actually worth in ten years’ time.
What you can fund
Every asset has its own page: how lenders treat it, what buyers specify, the questions people ask, and what we have actually funded.

Looking for a hearse for sale?
Whether you are buying new from a coachbuilder or looking at a used hearse for sale from a dealer or another funeral home, the vehicle and the funding are the same decision. Agree one without the other and you usually get a worse deal on both.
We source vehicles as well as finance them. If you have found a hearse and want it funded, we will do that. If you are still looking, tell us the specification and budget and we will help you find it — and because we are not tied to one supplier, we have no reason to steer you towards a particular forecourt.
New and used hearse finance
A hearse or limousine is a converted, coachbuilt vehicle with a long working life and a narrow resale market. That combination confuses lenders who price on standard vehicle residuals, which is why funeral directors are sometimes quoted terms that make no sense for the asset.
Used hearses hold value unusually well because they are low-mileage, meticulously maintained and built on a durable base vehicle. The right lender recognises that and offers a longer term accordingly, whether you buy outright on hire purchase or prefer a hearse lease and the option to upgrade.
Jaguar, Mercedes and Ford hearses
Most of the UK fleet is built on Jaguar, Mercedes-Benz E-Class or Ford chassis by coachbuilders such as Coleman Milne, Wilcox and Binz. A Jaguar hearse commands a premium and holds it; an E-Class hearse is often the practical fleet choice. We fund all of them, new or used.
Limousines and matched fleets
Hearse and limousine sets are usually bought together so the fleet matches, and they fund better as a package than as separate agreements. Private ambulances and removal vehicles can be included on the same facility.
Funeral director business finance
Vehicles are rarely the only requirement. Mortuary refrigeration, preparation equipment, chapel of rest fit-out and premises improvements can all be funded, either alongside the vehicles or separately.
Independent and family firms
Most funeral businesses we work with are long-established independents. Trading history stretching back decades is a genuine asset with a lender, and it deserves to be put in front of them properly rather than through a generic application form.

Estimate your repayments
Asset finance is quoted on a flat rate, so that is what the buttons show, with the equivalent APR beside it. Your exact rate depends on the asset, the term, the deposit and the lender.
Prime is an established, profitable business with clean credit. Specialist covers newer businesses and credit that needs explaining — the asset itself carries part of the risk, which is why finance is often available where an unsecured loan is not.
Representative example: on Hire Purchase, borrowing £25,000 over 48 months at a 5.15% flat rate (equivalent to 9.9% APR representative), you would repay around £628 a month; total amount repayable approximately £30,150, of which £5,150 is the cost of finance. This calculator is for illustration only — it is not a quote or an offer of finance, and the rate and repayments you are offered will depend on the asset, term, deposit and your circumstances. CW Asset Finance is a credit broker, not a lender, and will receive a commission from the lender that funds your agreement. All finance is subject to status, affordability and lender approval.
Rates shown are indicative flat rates with the equivalent APR alongside — the two are not the same number. Indicative only and does not constitute a quote or an offer of finance. Subject to status and lender approval.
