Funding for silage storage, covering precast walling panels, effluent handling and the equipment used to fill and seal a clamp.

Only in part, and it is worth knowing which part before you get quotes. A silage clamp is largely concrete: a reinforced base, drainage channels and an effluent tank, all of which become part of the land and cannot be recovered by a funder, so they belong on borrowing secured against the farm. Precast walling panels are a better case, because they are lifted into place and can be removed, and some funders will treat them as equipment. Everything used to fill and seal the clamp, buckrakes, shear grabs, sheeting systems, funds straightforwardly.
Used kit: Rarely; used precast panels change hands but are difficult to fund on their own

Business asset finance is quoted on a flat rate, so that is what this shows — with the equivalent APR underneath, because the two are not the same number. A quick guide only; your actual rate depends on the asset, term, deposit and lender.
Representative example: on Hire Purchase, borrowing £25,000 over 48 months at a 6.0% flat rate (equivalent to 11.5% APR representative), you would repay around £646 a month; total amount repayable approximately £31,000, of which £6,000 is the cost of finance. This calculator is for illustration only — it is not a quote or an offer of finance, and the rate and repayments you are offered will depend on the asset, term, deposit and your circumstances. CW Asset Finance is a credit broker, not a lender, and may receive a commission from the lender that funds your agreement. All finance is subject to status, affordability and lender approval. CW Asset Finance is an Appointed Representative of Rural Finance Limited, which is authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FRN 630701).
This is the least asset-finance-shaped item on the list and an honest broker will say so. Concrete poured on site has no recovery value whatsoever, so the funding leans wholly on the farm and on land ownership; a tenant on a short farm business tenancy will usually find this is not fundable at all through equipment lending and needs a different conversation with the landlord. Precast panels sit in a grey area that some funders will accept and others will not. The loose equipment around a clamp, buckrakes, grabs, sheeting and weighting systems, is ordinary machinery and funds without argument. Silage and effluent storage is also subject to construction standards and notification requirements, which funders expect to be handled before money moves.
Examples of the machines we are asked to fund. This is not an exhaustive list — if what you are buying is not here, it does not mean we cannot fund it. Your supplier quote is what the agreement is written against.

Dairy and beef farms whose clamp capacity no longer covers the winter, farms consolidating several small clamps into one that can be filled and sealed quickly, and businesses rebuilding to meet the construction standards that apply to silage and effluent storage. The trigger is often an inspection, visible effluent loss, or a clamp face that has become unsafe to work at.

Bought on hire purchase, business plant and machinery normally qualifies for capital allowances on the full cost even though you pay for it monthly, which is a large part of why hire purchase is the common structure. On a finance lease you generally set the rentals against profit instead. The rules change between budgets and your position depends on how you trade, so treat this as the direction of travel and get your accountant to confirm the detail before you commit.
Not through asset finance. Once concrete is poured it is part of the land, and a funder who cannot recover anything will not lend against it. Clamp bases are normally funded by borrowing secured on the farm, which is a different product and a different conversation.
They are a better prospect, because panels are craned into position and can be lifted out again, which keeps them closer to equipment than to construction. Some funders accept that argument and some do not, so it is worth asking before assuming either way.
Yes. Silage and effluent storage is subject to construction standards and there are notification requirements before building or substantially altering a store. A funder will expect that to be in hand, and more to the point the regulator will. Get the design signed off before you order materials.
Yes, easily. Loader attachments for filling, consolidating and feeding out are ordinary equipment with a solid secondhand market. They are often the part of a clamp project that asset finance is genuinely suited to, particularly when bought as a set on one invoice.
Limited on the structure itself. Permanent silage storage is usually the landlord responsibility or requires their consent and investment, so the practical route is to agree it with them rather than to fund it yourself. The equipment side remains entirely fundable in your own name.
